Parathas or flatbreads are very versatile so you can add different healthy ingredients and make your own version. This recipe is mainly for my daughter who loves pink so added beetroot đand she found different shapes around the kitchen to make them so she was super excited to eat them !

Ingredients
4 cups wheat flour / atta
1/2 buckwheat flour / kuttu atta
1 beetroot , shredded
2 tsp red chili powder (optional)
2 tsp turmeric powder
2 tbsp coriander powder
2 tsp garam masala
2 tsp dry mango powder / amchur
3 tsp chia seeds
3 tsp hemp seeds
2 tsp cumin seeds / jeera
1/4 cup dry fenugreek (Methi) leaves
3 tsp oil
salt to taste
water as required, to knead dough
(Add other shredded veggies or add Millet flour to make it even more healthy) .
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl take wheat flour and add buckwheat flour, shredded beets, chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, dry mango powder, fenugreek leaves, chia seeds, hemp seeds, cumin seeds, garam masala and about 2 tsp of salt.
- Then add 1 tbsp oil mix again. Add some water as needed.
- Add 1 tbsp of oil and knead the dough for about 4-5 minutes into soft dough like for chapathi/ dinner rolls.
- Rest the dough for 5-10 mins covered with damp cloth and make paratha similar to how paratha/ tortilla is made and serve hot with raita or pickle. Enjoy!!
